Description

 Designed to be suitable for integration in DIY constructions, the FE08 is a stereo front-end board that can be used with 1ET6525SA or 1ET7040SA Amplifier modules.

Optimized for easy testing of the 1ET6525SA or 1ET7040SA, the front-end FE08 provides all the necessary connectivity and control features to easily operate the amplifier modules :

  • Balanced analog inputs connectors (XLR),
  • Banana-plug speaker connectors and solder pads for extra speaker connectors, like a SpeakON
  • Connector for enabling/disabling operation,
  • Connecters for a (shared) power supply
  • Ultra Low Noise and THD Pre-gain stage w/ four gain settings using our FET-input discrete OPAMP

  • Ultra Low Noise Linear Voltage regulators for OPAMPs,
  • Pin header for setting the connected module into BTL- mode
  • Status LED’s,
  • Various pin headers for accessing e.g, I2C and status information.

NOTE: The Eigentact amplifier modules have very low idle losses and high overall efficiency, however, adequate cooling is still essential for sustained power delivery. Careful considerations must be given to design of the thermal system in order to achieve desired system-level output power specifications. Given proper cooling the amplifier module can easily be capable of very high continuous power delivery and the module is specifically designed with the utmost robustness and reliability as fundamental properties. Most frequently it is the system power supply that becomes the limiting factor in a application incorporating the Eigentact modules.
